Gran finale de Il Settembre dell’Accademia mercoledì 1 ottobre alle 20.30 al Teatro Filarmonico di Verona. Sul palco tre star assolute: Riccardo Minasi, direttore tra i più richiesti a livello internazionale, la Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen – Orchestra dell’Anno 2023 per Gramophone – e la pianista Beatrice Rana, accolta ovunque con entusiasmo.Si chiude così una XXXIV edizione che ha fatto brillare Verona con le gemme della grande musica sinfonica. Ultimo appuntamento con il debutto di Minasi sul podio del festival, il ritorno della Kammerphilharmonie, oggi vertice del camerismo sinfonico, e di Beatrice Rana, già rivelazione al Concorso Van Cliburn a soli 22 anni e oggi presenza fissa nelle stagioni più prestigiose.
Il programma è un viaggio nel Romanticismo tedesco: l’Ouverture da Der Freischütz di Weber, manifesto del teatro romantico nascente; il Concerto per pianoforte n. 3 di Beethoven, capolavoro che anticipa il concerto sinfonico moderno; e la Sinfonia n. 4 di Brahms, ultima pagina orchestrale del gigante di Amburgo, che oltrepassando Beethoven, rivolge lo sguardo al passato e trova in Bach la sua guida spirituale.

The grand finale of Il Settembre dell’Accademia takes place on Wednesday, October 1st at 8:30 pm at Verona’s Teatro Filarmonico. Three absolute stars share the stage: Riccardo Minasi, one of today’s most in-demand conductors, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen – named Orchestra of the Year 2023 by Gramophone – and pianist Beatrice Rana, welcomed with enthusiasm on every stage she graces.Thus comes to a close the XXXIV edition of a festival that has lit up Verona with the brightest gems of the symphonic world. The final concert marks Minasi’s festival debut, the return of the Kammerphilharmonie – today at the very summit of symphonic chamber playing – and of Beatrice Rana, who first astonished the international scene at just 22 by winning the Silver Medal and Audience Award at the Van Cliburn Competition, and is now a regular presence in the most prestigious seasons worldwide.
The program is a journey through German Romanticism: the Overture from Weber’s Der Freischütz, a manifesto of the nascent Romantic theater; Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no. 3, a masterpiece anticipating the modern symphonic concerto; and Brahms’s Symphony no. 4, the final orchestral statement of the giant of Hamburg, who, moving beyond Beethoven, turns back to the past and finds in Bach his spiritual guide.
