The Library of the Accademia Filarmonica owns an ancient music fund of great value. It consists of 230 printed works (for the most part madrigals of the sixteenth century) and of 21 manuscripts from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. The music modern fund mostly consists of scores and handwritten parts of the first half of the nineteenth century, and of printed piano scores of the nineteenth and twentieth century. It mainly includes works of music nineteenth century Veronese societies (Anfioni-Filocorei, Istituto Pro Filarmonico) which had its offices in the premises of the Accademia Filarmonica. Of great value is also the ancient moral-literary fund. It consists of 279 printed works, among which 15 incunabula and 232 “cinquecentine”, books published in the sixteenth century. Finally there is a record fund (donated by G. Tanzi, Munich). It consists of about 1500 LP, the majority of which are opera records. The historic archives of the Accademia, despite the holes due to the vicissitudes suffered by the society (fires, bombings, various losses), contain several administrative documents, minutes, letters and drawings from the second half of the sixteenth century to the first half of the twentieth century.
